The largest high-quality, peat bog in Southern Ontario has been building for 10,000 years at the confluence of the Ottawa and South Nation Rivers. Peat bogs are an exceedingly rare habitat and the 10,000 acres in Alfred support equally rare species and a healthy moose population.
The Snowmobile Club of Eastern Ontario (CMEO) is the entrance for snowmobile trails of Ontario and the western entrance of Quebec. The club and its members 1000+ and 60+ volunteers manage 435 km of trails, covering the United Counties of Prescott and Russell region.
We are a proud member ofTourisme Prescott Russell Tourism (TPRT). Tourisme Prescott Russell Tourism (TPRT) is a not for profit destination marketing organization (DMO) devoted to the development, marketing and support of its members and the United Counties of Prescott-Russell’s tourism industry (Eastern Ontario). With over 100 organisation and business members, TPRT’s goal is to develop the region as a tourism destination, appreciated by visitors from here and abroad, through value-added and marketing strategies.
